OLIVE

Manzanilla

A good dual-purpose table /oil olive that fruits well in the warmer areas. Medium size tree with a spreading canopy that produces early. Fruit is pickled green. Plant with J5 for pollination.

These trees are grown from the old tree at Pouto which is reputedly 200 years old and contains high quality oil. Probably N.Z’s most special tree. Plant with others for pollination.

Koroneiki

From Greece, small growing self fertile, large crops, and high oil content. Very early cropper, we like this tree for home gardens because it’s such a small tree it’s easy to net the trees to keep the birds from getting the fruit.
