NATURE’S GARDEN ORGANIC FERTILISER
BIOGRO CERTIFIED: 20KG: $49.90

N-1, P-5, K-3, Ca-20, Mg3 + Trace Minerals.
Developed by Environmental Fertilisers in response to new soil research presented by Dr Arden Andersen.
A blend of Sechura RPR, humic acid, seaweed, vermicast and paramagnetic basalt rock dust. This has been composted and inoculated with beneficial soil bacteria and fungi that help to fix nitrogen from the atmosphere, solubilise frozen reserves of phosphate, as well as being root growth stimulators. Contains over 70 essential plant minerals. Each 1 kilo of Nature’s Garden Fertiliser is equivalent to 4 kilos of compost. It will help to improve soil structure, increase beneficial soil life activity, build organic carbon levels, improve biological balance and improve yield and crop quality. We recommend that you use a few handfuls of this fertiliser for every tree that you plant.

ORCHARD HERBAL LEY: $34.00
Early Autumn or Spring are the times to establish your orchard herbal ley. This collection includes enough seed to sow 200 square metres of orchard—an area roughly 20m x 10m). A section in Kay’s book Design Your Own Orchard gives instructions. As well as the Red, White and Subterranean Clover, Alfalfa, Parsnip, Borage and Phacelia we recommend spring bulbs, Comfrey, Yarrow and Tansy.
Red Clover 500gms: $9.00
A great ground cover in any orchard situation. It comes up fast, evenly and blocks out weeds well if planted at the right time of the year. If you have ground to cover before the weeds come up and you want to do it quickly and get the rest of the herbal ley in later this is the one. Best planted in Spring once the ground has warmed up but while it is still moist - usually September to November. 500 grams will cover an area of 100-200 square metres depending how thickly you sow it.
Subterranean Red Clover 500gms: $10.00
Recommended by an organic grower in Kerikeri, but also works well in the South Island. Subterranean clover is a much larger seed than the other clovers and is an annual rather than a perennial. It flowers and self-seeds prolifically so it only has to be planted once. The good thing about this clover is that it is a Winter crop. If planted in the Autumn it will grow all winter and flower in November and die down for all the summer ground covers and herbs to come through. Because it is so strong in the early Spring it smothers many of those early Spring weeds. 500 grams will cover 50-100 square metres depending how thickly you sow it.
