Over the years I've spent quite a lot of money on various hand mills for doing a range of jobs. I've been looking for the most appropriate ones for the grains that we can actually grow ourselves. For me that does not mean wheat, it means quinoa, amaranth, corn, essene flax seed and pumpkin seed. These handmills are far cheaper than any that will grind wheat well, but they are excellent for all these other grains. I guess we use ours every day for either cornmeal for porridge or for flax and pumpkin seed for breakfast. They're easy to use, simple and well made, and the price is good.
